Meet Jazzy! She is a very loving gal with plenty of energy, and is very toy and treat motivated. She learns quickly. She has some of the typical ACD behaviors, she is being taught not to be a counter surfer, to not be mouthy, and LOVES the Jolly Ball/Herding Ball. She would not do well with cats, as she would chase any small animals if they run. She has been good with most of the other dogs she has met, despite the fact that she has fully recovered from a dog attack. She was chained out for some period of time during her first year of life, and may have been attacked by other dogs or a coyote, leaving her with large gashes in her neck and many puncture wounds. We don't have any history on her from her previous owners, but she doesn't like to be crated, though she does well in the crate once she is in. She just needs lots of encouragement with high-motivational treats to get her to go into the crate. She will not let you put her into the crate without letting you know she is very unhappy about being forced. Like most ACD's, she should not be forced to do things, she will do most things for people for treats and loving attention. She wants to please, and is a typical velcro ACD. She wants to be where you are. She is allowed on furniture at her foster home, so would need to be trained accordingly to the home who adopts her. She will need training, and would love to have a job to do. She needs to have access to plenty of toys to chew on and play with, and definitely needs a place where she can play with a herding ball in a fenced yard.
Please consider Jazzy for your companion! She will be very loving, loyal, and playful companion!
