Jessi's mantra is "girls just wanna have fun!" This is a happy playful young dog who can hardly wait to learn everything there is to know about being a great household dog. She came from a situation where there were lots of dogs and no training or special attention, so now in foster care she is adjusting and learning every single day. She hopes you will want to teach her and love her and make her every day as special as she will want to make yours. Since coming into foster, Jessi has learned that her crate is her house and she mostly relaxes happily and quietly when there. However, she will bark if she thinks there is some excitement to be had. She is doing well learning about leash walks and loves getting out to walk or have adventures. With training she might turn into a good running or trail walking buddy as she does enjoy time out exploring. Jessi adores play time out in the back yard with other dog friends. So a home with another dog or two would be great. She has not been observed with cats or children. She is young and excitable currently, so if you have small children, a meet and greet would be great. Jessi is said to be sweet, happy, a little shy with strangers, short, strong, big hearted, energetic and fun. If in her crate when you return home, she will bolt out with enthusiasm, spin around to greet you and then want to play outside for awhile. When done there she will return tail wagging ready for your instructions on what's next. She wants to learn and love and be your forever companion. Doesn't she sound like a gem? And remember, all APA adoptions come with free behavior assistance through APA's behavior team. And when you adopt a dog from APA, you are saving not one, but two lives - the life of the dog you're bringing into your home, and the next dog APA can save in the adopted dog's place.
