United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals. This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. For more information about the pet, the adoption process, or our program please contact the Volunteer Adoption Coordinator listed below.
Because animals are adopted/rescued daily, please also check the United Hope for Animals Facebook page to see if an animal is still available OR call the Baldwin Park Shelter at 626-962-3577. When inquiring about an animal, please reference the animal’s ID number. This will enable the volunteer or Baldwin Park employee to locate the status of the pet. Thank you for supporting rescue.

A4998715 Jillian is an endearing black-and-tan 3-year-old German Shepherd who came into the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center as a stray from La Puente on October 2nd. Weighing 60 lbs, Jillian is a gorgeous girl with the softest, most loving nature. Despite having lived most of her life (we suspect) outside as a dog used for breeding, she is personable with people and polite with other dogs (even when they’re not gentle with her). She has a solid medium energy level perfect for walks, and a uniquely “frosted” look to the fur on her neck. She also has a lovable “childlike" expression that we just adore. Although she doesn’t have much in the way of training, her good nature and desire to please her handlers will make her learning a snap. She even already knows how to sit on command! Jillian will be happiest as the newest member and indoor pet of an active family that will make exercise a part of her everyday routine.
