FOSTER LOCATION: Twin Falls, ID
Meet Johnny a Lab/Shepherd mix! This handsome boy was born at the end of January 2016 and sadly turned into an Idaho shelter when he was just 4 months old. He was super scared, very nervous and had no clue what it meant to live in a house or sleep on a cushy dog bed some lovely people took him in to teach him how fun it is to be a dog. He is now ready to find his forever home and Fuzzy Pawz Rescue plans to do just that!
Johnny is a very shy boy but is also very full of love. When first meeting someone new, he will hide somewhere quiet or behind the person he trusts the most until he realizes that the new people are just there to be his friend. Public situations and lots of chaos also make him very nervous; but in his home with people he knows and loves, he is a totally different dog. He likes to play, is a big lap dog who LOVES to cuddle up with his foster family. He is sweet, soft and gentle and just a lovely boy who craves affection and consistency.
Johnny is mostly house trained but will need a refresher in a new home. He is crate-trained, and gets along with dogs of all sizes, as well as cats. Johnny will gravitate towards a woman over a man and does like respectful kids over 6. Johnny has learned “sit”, “shake,” and “kennel” (although sometimes he has selective hearing for the last command!). After some work, he has come to love car rides, especially if the rides take him to a quiet place to hike with his people and doggy friends.
Johnny would love to find a forever home that will be understanding and patient with his timid nature and that will continue to properly work on his manners and socialization. Johnny would be great in a home with a quiet, stable lifestyle; consistency is the key with a shy dog.
Johnny is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped.
