Jolene is a sweet and gentle girl who needs confidence building. Jolene was found stray and brought to a veterinary hospital. She spent some time in a foster home recovering from a skin condition but as you can see she is all healed up and ready for her new forever home!
Jolene's foster mom says, "Jolene is super sweet, despite being found stray and looking like she has had a hard life. She craves attention and will be your shadow, always near and ready for a reassuring pet or praise to help with her timidness. She has a steady calmness and gentleness about her and loves everyone, qualities that could make her a good therapy dog. Inside, she is very quiet and crate trained for when she is left alone. She is housetrained and knows how to use a doggie door. She walks well on a leash, and would benefit from positive reinforcement training. She got along very well with my 2 female 25lb dogs but was a little intimidated and defensive around my very large male Mastiff. She may do better with smaller and/or female dogs so we suggest a meet a greet to be sure!"
One of our volunteer says, "Jolene is a DOLL. I spent some time cuddling with her in her kennel. She's a sweet, gentle soul."
Jolene is currently in a foster home and not at the shelter. To find out how to meet Jolene, please email jpasfosterEB@gmail.com.
The Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter adoption fee is $67. The adoption fee includes vaccinations, mandatory spay/neuter, heartworm test, and microchip.
