Kahuna is not your normal Dachshund. While his mother is mostly dachshund, Kahuna is a brilliant mix. Approaching 20 lbs, he has a gorgeous brindle coat and an athletic build with never ending, long legs. He is a growing five month old puppy. He is practically house trained. He will tap on the door when he needs to go outside to relieve himself, and he would probably do very well with a doggie door. The only time he has an accident is when he is in his kennel for more than a few hours, but he is learning to control that as well. Kahuna (a very fast eater) will sit and stay and he will even sit patiently while other dogs finish eating. He is very much a puppy in a big dog's body.
Kahuna learns and loves easily. He loves to cuddle and he is good with children. Because he is so full of puppy energy and likes to play and wrestle, it would be best if the other dogs in his life have similar energy levels and a desire to play as well. He loves to have his belly scratched. He likes to fetch, and he will quickly win your heart. Kahuna needs a loving family who has the time to attend to the needs of a growing and loving puppy. He is a delightful pup who will be a lifetime buddy for anyone who loves him. He is an absolute joy!
