Kenny is a little 6 pound, 7 year old purebred Poodle who has a sad story. A rescue person got a call from a lady she had helped in the past, removing dogs living on chains at her home. This is a rural mountain community, and chaining dogs is a common practice. Little Kenny was dropped by a highway at this lady's home and she put him on a chain. She decided after a few days that she did not want Kenny, and that is when the call was made to the rescue person.
A foster person was called, and she went and picked up this poor little boy, and named him Kenny. The one picture shown is little Kenny when he was first picked up. His hair was matted down to his skin, with bugs and sticks matted into his fur. It was easy to see that nobody had given Kenny the care he needed. Kenny was taken right to the groomer as shown in the pictures, and a new Kenny was born. Also, a big thank you to Kenny's wonderful foster Rebecca, who rescued Kenny, and is giving him the love and care he needs.
The foster tells us that Kenny loves to be picked up and held. He appears to be well adjusted socially with people, dogs, and even cats. The foster is working with his housebreaking, and should be fine when he arrives at 11th Hour on October 27th. Kenny had to have some teeth removed due to his lack of care, but with lots of TLC he will make a great little pet. Kenny has now been neutered and fully vetted.
Due to his small size he will need to be adopted to a home without young children. If you want to give little Kenny a home and family that he so desperately needs, then fill out a application on him today. Be sure to ask for him by name - KENNY SCAS!
