My owner had never made the time to take care of me, so they failed to walk me and teach me how to interact with the world. When they left me at the pound, I was so scared that I did not eat, interact with anyone, or move within my cell, other than uncontrollably shake in fear. Now I am learning the things I should have learned in my first home. I really enjoy walks, but admit I am still trying to understand the leash. I am trying to be brave with the typical noises on the street, but this is hard because I am still pretty scared. But, I think I am getting better every day! When I am feeling safe, I am curious and cuddly and will ask for belly rubs because I did not get a lot of these before. I would do well with a gentle doggy companion to teach me how to enjoy my life, and will do great with older and mature children. I am starting to smile and my tail is beginning to wag as I discover that my life should have been fuller and with adventures. If you would like to help me discover more, can you let Forte know?
