Look at this beautiful girl! You wouldn't know now that Kora has lived a tough life fending for herself and her babies on the heartless streets of Houston. She was rescued from under a trailer with her nursing babies, ribs showing, no hair and eating rocks. But that life is over, and Kora has settled right into her foster home! She is an affectionate, loving girl who wants to be part of the family. She is potty trained, kennel trained and rarely barks! She loves going on walks and is pretty low key during the day, though she does enjoy playing tug with some toys in the evening! She also enjoys cuddling on the couch to watch a good movie :-) Kora is heartworm positive, but is receiving treatment and is otherwise healthy. Kora does get protective of her family when new people enter the home, so she needs a kind, patient leader to help her learn not all people will hurt her. She also needs work on walking nicely on a leash, but she is a smart, quick learner and will be easy to train. She has some agression when meeting new dogs on a walk, so will need help to stop that. She does great with other dogs once she has been introduced properly. She is going to be an excellent addition for someone's loving family! Meet her today!
The adoption fee includes vaccinations, bordetella, deworming, rabies, spay/neuter and microchip. There is an additional $10.99 fee for Home Again for a lifetime registration of the microchip. If adopting a puppy, the rabies and spay/neuter will be done at the same time by our vet once they are 4 months old and billed to us. It is against the law in the State of Texas for a rescue not to be sterilized so we have to make sure it gets completed and that we have record of it.
