Lady has been released medically and is available to go to her forever home.
Lady was surrendered to a local shelter. She is 8 years old, spayed, up to date of Rabies, DHLLP, Bordetella, heart worm, fecal and blood testing. She is a plus size girl. She was on medication to attempt to dissolve the stones but that treatment did not work. She had surgery to remove 2 large bladder stones that resulted in irritating her bladder causing her to urinate frequently. She has had some issues with vomiting since her surgery. She was seen at the MSU Small Animal Veterinary Clinic to rule out a Liver Shunt. The exam and tests have been inconclusive. She may also be suffering from Pancreatitis and may have a Gall stone. Lady was seen on June 9th at MSU. She had a CT scan with dye administered. The test revealed she will need to have surgery for a Liver Shunt. The surgery will be done in on July 11th. She has lost about ten pounds since arriving. Since her surgery for the bladder stones, it has resolved her potty issues. She will be on special food for the remainder of her life. She is a happy girl, likes walks, is good with other dogs and likes children. Lady has had episodes of vomitting again. She is currently being tested to determine if she has a motility problem which can be cured but must be diagnosed first.
The Veterinary bills for Lady have now exceeded $8,000.
If you can help by making a donation to assist with those bills, it will be appreciated.
