Look at that smile! This gorgeous guy is Lancer, and he has a story to tell. You see, Lancer’s previous owner, a homeless Veteran trying to survive living in a shed, had to surrender Lancer and his three other dogs (Kodi, Suki, and Hunter, Lancer’s pup) when he realized he simply could not give them the care that they needed and deserved. Heartbroken, the previous owner is hopeful that these dogs will find a better life, where they will have a roof over their heads and families that will love them just as he had, and that will able to provide the proper care for them. Dog Star has made the promise to find homes that will provide the proper care and life for these dogs- we know brighter days are ahead for all of them.
Lancer is a very handsome, smart and super sweet boy, and is a black and tan Shepherd/Beagle mix. An adult, he is approximately 45 lbs. Lancer is a confident, well adjusted guy with a medium energy level. He will do well in a home where he has plenty of opportunity for activity- this guy loves to have fun, and would also do well with plenty of mental stimulation. And when he is all done joining you for a walk, a hike, or a fun romp around the yard, he is happy to enjoy some down time, preferably snuggled up by your side. This awesome guy loves other dogs and is fantastic with children, but he needs a home without cats. Lancer is ready to move right in- he is already crate trained and house trained, though it is important to understand that sometimes dogs may have an accident or two as they adjust to a new home. He is currently working on learning to walk on a leash, and he already understands the command of “sit.” Lancer is ready to begin this new chapter in his life, with his new home and forever family that will shower him with all of the love and attention that he deserves. He is very ready to meet you, and is ready to become your new best friend!
The fee for adoption is $450. This includes spay/neuter, vaccinations and transport fees.
