Laney is a pretty dilute tortie with silver and cream coloring and stunning sea green eyes that will capture your attention. We found her on a cold winter day while trying to trap a stray momma cat in an apartment complex in O’Fallon. She was maybe 10 weeks old and starving! The poor angel must have been scavenging for food for quite some time as she was tiny and absolutely filthy. Her foster mom scooped her up, took her home, cleaned her up, treated her for parasites and fed her well. Although she was very frightened, Laney must have known that she was safe and loved because she immediately relaxed in her bed and fell asleep with a full tummy. She is very sweet and enjoys affection, but only after she has had time to get to know and trust you. Laney is shy kitty and will need plenty of time to adjust and settle in to a new home and build her confidence. Despite her timid personality, she does like attention and affection. It's quite adorable... she actually stands on her hind legs like a meerkat and will head-bump your hand as soon as you reach to pet her. Ear and head scratches are her favorite and she will nuzzle your hand as a sign of her contentment. She does frighten with loud sounds and sudden movement so a quiet home without young children is required. She can be quite playful and enjoys the companionship of other cats, so she would do best with another friendly cat or two to live with. Laney really is a sweet kitty and craves love and affection from her humans; she just needs a patient and understanding family who won’t mind if she wants to hide when she feels the need to do so. In return, she will repay you with lots of love, purrs and head-bonks. Laney is spayed, tested negative for Feline Leukemia/FIV, microchip and current on vaccinations - DOB 8/1/13, tag # 9285.
