Laylee is a precious young beagle mix with a heart of gold. She loves to be close to her people and snuggle. She is high energy and loves to play and run in the yard. She does pretty well on the leash and doesn’t pull at all, but wants to stop to sniff at everything along the way (doesn’t every beagle?). She is crate trained and stays there overnight and when her people are away from the home. She isn’t terribly excited about going in the crate but once there she settles quickly, is quiet and doesn’t whine. She loves toys and will play as long as you are willing! Laylee gets along well with her 8 year old foster host male Jack Russell Terrier (who is somewhat less enthusiastic about her, but is warming up quickly to her cuteness). She had only one accident in the house on her very first day and has been perfect as far as potty manners since then. She knows sit and lie down commands (sort of) and is very eager to please. Takes treats sweetly and is not food aggressive at all. Like most beagles, she does seek and manages to find ANY food in the area and will try to nab things she can get to if you aren’t careful. Trash diving is a popular pastime with Laylee so the usual ‘beagle-proofing’ is required! Her favorite activity seems to be car rides (her passenger manners are impeccable) to the local McDonald’s for morning coffee the staff there has already fallen in lovve with her! She’s an energetic, sweet beagle ball of love with eyes and a personality that will absolutely melt your heart!
