Leah was adopted from the shelter a year ago and was returned to the shelter due to her medical needs. She is already spayed and we will get her all updated on her needed vetting and checked over.
The place called "shelter" gave me a birthdate of 09-30-2004. That is because my "family" left me there in 2014 on that date. I was adopted with my brother after a week. But, they brought us back and left us there again. They kept us less than a year, but I never felt loved and felt bad the whole time. I lost a bunch of hair and gained 20 pounds. When they left us I was scared and sad. I was sad cause they separated me from my brother because I have "special needs"? Not sure what that means but I was told I was rescue ONLY.
Rescue is a good thing. I know this cause a really nice lady picked me up and drove me a long long way. We left Indiana and came to Ohio. I am now with a lady who says she will love me forever.
I now get my medications twice a day and I have lost 9 pounds in 3 weeks. I have a couch and soft bed to sleep on. I have other dogs and cats to keep me company. She told me my brother was adopted by another family. I hope he is loved and happy forever.
My new Momma is celebrating my birthday this weekend. We are also celebrating my foster brothers ( Mr. B) 6 month living with cancer day and welcome to the pack for another foster brother (Arthur). My foster Momma needs to consider another girl cause I am outnumbered by boys!
If you have read this and it makes you smile consider opening your home and heart to a special needs boxer. Maybe a silver or senior boxer. OR maybe a special needs senior like me!
