The Helotes Humane Society is a non profit organization dedicated to placing unwanted animals in loving homes. Remember, don't shop, adopt!
May the force be with you!
Leia has had a rough start to life. She was dumped in a box at a vet's office with 3 of her siblings. She came into the Humane Society scared and not in the best of health. Now that she has a clean bill of health and has been socialized a bit she is ready to find her forever home. Because of her rough start and the fact that some of her siblings are still a bit afraid of people she tends to be shy when you first meet her. Leia is going to need a forever home that is willing to understand her background and be very patient with her. She has come a long way in her foster home as far as trusting people socially but she will need more time to reach her full potential. She does not like posing for pictures so it is hard to see her full beauty in her profile. She is considered a dilute tortie and has a beautiful grey and white coat. If you are interested in meeting Leia you can contact her foster mom Cindy at email@example.com.
All of our animals receive vaccinations, testing and altering appropriate for their age. All pets will be microchipped prior to placement. The pet overpopulation problem has reached a crisis stage. We will use all of our resources to spay and neuter all pets in our care.
