From the Foster:
Lillie came to our house with a lot of energy and very little manners. Within a very short amount of time, however, she has shown so much improvement. Lillie is super smart and is learning quickly how to be a well mannered pup. I've been extremely impressed with how fast she picks things up and think she would be awesome in some training and obedience classes. She'd also probably be amazing at agility training too! Her adopter will need to continue working on her manners with consistency and patience (when she gets excited she jumps and gets mouthy; again, there has been a TON of improvement in a short amount of time). Lillie also needs daily exercise and happens to be a great jogging partner!
Even though Lillie is a bundle of wiggly energy, she also knows when to chill out (especially after some good exercise!). She loves receiving belly rubs, hanging out on the couch, and relaxes well in her crate. She's also a rock star and knows not to go potty in the house!
Lillie is currently living with another female dog about her size. They have yet to be friends, however. Lillie's playful energy is a little too much for the resident dog, so slow intros with other dogs would be appropriate for her. She lived with other dogs before coming to us here, so I do think with the right tolerant friend she'll be just fine!
Overall, Lillie is amazing. She is constantly impressing us with her quick learning skills and her sweetness. She is also a comedian and makes us laugh every day. If your'e looking for an affectionate, smart and silly pup, Lillie is your girl!
All dogs are in individual foster homes throughout the Twin Cities.

If you live in MN, WI, IA, SD, ND, or IL and would like to meet/adopt this animal or anyone else, then please fill out an adoption application at http://secondhandhounds.org/adoption-information/ and the foster(s) will be in touch! Keep in mind that there may be multiple applicants applying for the same animal(s). You only need to complete 1 application for multiple animals that you're interested in.
Note - We change an animal's listing to say "PENDING ADOPTION" when they already had a meet and greet with a family who plans to adopt that animal. We put "NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS" on a listing when an animal has multiple applications in and the foster has asked to stop accepting any more while they review the applications they've already received.
