Sweet little six pound, six year old Lucille had things pretty rough for a while. She was turned over to the shelter because her owner couldn’t take care of her anymore. She was miserable at the pound and we were called to get her out of there. She was very underweight and after a trip to the vet, we discovered she has Lyme Disease. After a month of medication Lucille is doing much better! She is still very thin but she has started to put some weight on. She gets along great with the other dogs in the home. Lucille shows absolutely no interest in cats. She is housebroken and will use a pee pad if left alone for long periods. She is a very sweet girl who loves nothing more than to burrow in her blankets. Lucille will need to have her C6 titer test run again in February/March 2017 and may require another round of antibiotics, depending on the Lyme bacteria levels. Special attention will need to be paid to her kidney function during her yearly checkups on an ongoing basis. If you would like to be considered to adopt this sweet girl for your very own, please submit your Adoption Application for her today! You can access it here: submit an Adoption Application here:
