Lucky certainly earned his name. His foster mom found him in the middle of a fairly busy two lane road, seconds after he had been straddled by an SUV. She thought at first it was a dead kitten, but he moved as she passed, trying desperately to find safety but not knowing where to go. She pulled over quickly and ran back to scoop him up. He was very unhappy and spitting mad, but so tiny he couldn’t put up much of a fight. She guessed him to be between five and six weeks of age. Once she got him home, he turned out to be fairly skittish about being caught, but he would calm down and relax once he was cradled in her hands. She suspects he was treated roughly before he was discarded, and fears approaching feet. He has become great pals with all of the adult cats sharing his area, and his best friend is Gypsie, who is also on Petfinder. Lucky still tends to be a bit shy, but Gypsie brings out the best in him and helps him to be brave. Gypsie’s and Lucky’s foster mom would like to see them adopted together into a family with no children. They were adopted into a family recently with a very noisy youngster and both cats were pretty traumatized. Because of that their foster mom feels that they will not adjust well into a family with small children.
If you think that I am somebody you would like to love, please email WAGS at wagsadoptions@aol.com to arrange to meet me.

WAGS adoption fee is $60.00 for cats and kittens. The fee covers the spay or neuter surgery, up to date vaccinations and deworming. We have an adoption form that all potential adopters fill out. There is an informal interview conducted when you meet the cats, to determine what kind of home you will provide for a pet.
