Lucy Lou is 3 years old, spayed and vaccinated and ready for her forever family. You see, her family just dumped her at a kill shelter without looking back. She lived with them since she was 5 weeks old....but now at the ripe of age of THREE, they no longer needed her.
Lucy is as sweet as the come! She loves to cuddle on the couch with you and gives sweet kisses. Lucy lost 10 lbs is now a svelte 81 lbs. She gets very excited to see you but who can blame her after she was abandoned by the only family she's ever known. She is learning to contain her excitement and not jump.
Lucy is living with a cat but if the cat runs, like all dogs, she will be happy to chase. She is not currently living with another dog but she LOVES children. We will add to her bio as we discover more of her hidden treasures.
From her foster mom:
Location: Winter Park, FL
Nicknames: Lucinator, Lucy Blue, Luce, Juicy Booty
Good with other dogs?: Dog selective.
She has only met another dog while on a leash walking all behaviors were positive unless other dog would become unfriendly.

Lucy Lou's favorite things: Lucy absolutely loves car rides and she is a wonderful passenger! Just pick the seat you want her to sit in and give her a window and she will be content the rest of the time! She loves belly rubs, butt scratches, and extra cuddles. She loves all the attention all the time and will be vocal if she thinks she isn't being noticed. As long as you make Lucy part of your day and bring her along she will be content she just wants to be next to somebody. She is a good sleeper and even puts her head under the pillow because she wants to keep her nose warm and doesn't like the light. After a good walk she will go straight to sleep. She loves to say hello to everybody just make her sit before she greets others because sometimes she gets too excited! However all the children she has met on walks she has been the most gentle with!
Lucy Lou is good at: meeting people, staying in a crate, behaving in the house, going for car rides, making me feel safe, cuddling, playing
Ideal home: someone at home most of the day, Lots of exercise opportunities
Training Needs: socialization with dogs, needs obedience training, other: Leash training is still in progress but has seen lots of improvement since the begging
Health issues: She just needs exercise! She is a tad overweight but has already lost ten pounds!
Meet Lucy Lou Lucy Lou has a big personality! She has the cutest underbite that makes her undeniable when she walks up to you for cuddles. If you want to stay in bed all day Lucy will be right next to you but she will also be right next to you if have 101 errands to run! She just wants to be with someone and feel loved but who could blame her after being abandoned by the only family that she knew! I live in a condo so unfortunately there is no yard for her to run in but we do go for long walks and runs almost everyday! If Lucy doesn't get her dose of exercise she will remind you by getting into some sort if mischief. Lucy will sit in the patio chair across from me for early morning coffee and she will sit there as long as I do. Like I said Lucy just wants to feel loved and like she is a part of something.
