A volunteer writes: Ludemann is INFINITELY sweeter than all of the baked goods you''ll want to feed him upon seeing how skinny he is! Oh my goodness! He is the kind of dog you fall in love with just because of how kind his eyes look, and spending time with him makes love based on cage presence seem totally rational. He doesn''t look like he''s had someone looking out for him recently, but Ludemann is a lover and has shown such a soft personality: he is wiggly, affectionate and even playful. Of course, he loves treats and has excellent radar when it comes to locating them, but he will patiently `sit` for them and has been very gentle taking them. He has been very easy to handle on leash, super attentive, and seems housebroken. When I bring him in the yard, he wags his tail as he follows me around, and will play fetch (albeit briefly, he is a little too frail yet to really get into it!). He licks my hands when I pet him and props his paws up to solicit more (this is short-lived too until we build up those back leg muscles!). His most endearing attribute, though, is how often he rolls over on his back -- I''m pretty sure the way he wags his tail and bats his paws around before wrapping them around my arm could melt some glaciers! I love skinny, submissive Ludemann, but would bet a boatload of money that healthy, confident Ludemann will be every bit as sweet (and grateful!). Maybe you can be the one to get to know both...come meet him at Brooklyn ACC!
