Luke is a 2-year-old neutered chocolate male. He is a happy friendly dog who wants to please whoever he is with. He likes to retrieve and he will bring it back most of the time. He carries his ball half out of his mouth as a sign he wants you to try and get it. He needs a fenced yard as he likes to wander. He is a young Lab looking for an active family that will give him some training and exercise. Kids 10 and up as we don't have history. Good with other dogs had him out with other dogs at the kennel. No cat history. Knows sit, come. Okay on lead better with an Easy Walk Harness. Most likely house trained, waits until he goes outside to go. Luke comes from the country and has no exposure to big cities. Placements is limited to single family stand-alone homes in a suburban neighborhood, or rural area. If we learn she can adapt and will do well in a more urban environment we will send out an update to let you know. Foster family reports: Luke is doing great at his foster home. He is getting along with the resident dog, and even sleeping curled up next to him. He is fantastic in the crate - will go right in and doesn't make a peep. He sleeps through the night, and is super quiet - his foster dad hasn't heard him bark yet. He's a skinny boy, so he eats a lot, and fast, so he's working on slowing that down. His fur is super soft. He will pop up on the counters to check and see what might be delicious up there, but hops right now again when asked. Luke is a very sweet boy! Luke weighs 50 pounds and is up to date on shots. This dog is approved for homes with adults and/or kids ages 10 and up. This dog is available for adoption from Lab Rescue LRCP. The rescue has about 50 dogs available for adoption at any given time.
