United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals. This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. For more information about the pet, the adoption process, or our program please contact the Volunteer Adoption Coordinator listed below.
Because animals are adopted/rescued daily, please also check the United Hope for Animals Facebook page to see if an animal is still available OR call the Baldwin Park Shelter at 626-962-3577. When inquiring about an animal, please reference the animal’s ID number. This will enable the volunteer or Baldwin Park employee to locate the status of the pet. Thank you for supporting rescue.

A4989748 Luke is a delightful 2-year-old fawn male Chihuahua mix who came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center as a stray on September 4 from Baldwin Park. Weighing 10 lbs, Luke is thrilled to be with people and enjoys being pet and cuddling. He seems to be housebroken already, and he gets along fine with other dogs, provided they aren’t too hyper, in which case he gets a little shy. Luke’s front left leg twists backward, so he only walks on three legs. His twisted leg appears to be a birth defect and we don’t see any indication that it bothers him. He gets around perfectly well on three legs, and will enjoy strolling around the neighborhood with you. Luke is a charming, friendly, and well-socialized dog who will make an excellent best pal.
