Luna found herself in an overfull Alabama shelter and in desperate need of rescue. She is great with other dogs and FULL of energy. She will do best with a family who can give a young energetic girl the exercise she needs, both mentally and physically.
UPDATE: Luna has been in her temporary foster home for a few days now and she has already learned the commands for "sit" and "heel". She is learning what the leash is and has done great with not jumping on the children in the home. She is very energetic and gets very excited after going outside to do her business...it's like she is just soooooooo happy to have a home to come back inside to every time! It is obvious that her former life wasn't a good one...she has shown some fear and cowering at some household items, especially her skin brother's baseball bat. She warms up very quickly to people and doesn't mind the crate. She will do best in a home with no cats.
THE LATEST: Luna is approximately 2-3 years old but she is very much still a young soul. We believe that she never got to be a normal puppy so now that she knows she is safe, she is in puppy mode. This girl loves to run around and play. She would love another young dog to play with her. Luna does need some training. She would greatly benefit from a puppy class. One of the rescue ladies said it best, Luna is a little girl in a big girl body..meaning she doesn't know how strong she is or how big she is. Luna has definitely figured out that living inside with a family is a great thing. She loves to snuggle, even if she doesn't know how big she is :) She loves, loves, loves pillows and toys!
