Old MacDonald had a farm, ei-ei-oh! Oh, hey there! I’m just kidding, I’m not old and I don’t have a farm, but my name is Mac and I have great news for you! Your search is over. No need to look any further, you have found the perfect feline companion!
You might be asking yourself how I know this, but the proof is all there. I’ll give you an example of what the average day looks like for me. I wake up, give a little stretch and a yawn, and climb down from my perch in the kitty tree. I’ll grab a little breakfast, use my litter box, and then it’s playtime! When I’m feeling spunky, I love my special kitty toys, but the dog’s tail is also tons of fun to play with. Dogs are a hoot! After that, it may be time for a nap, so if you’re available, your lap is where I’ll want to be. If your friends are visiting, they are fair game as well—I do not discriminate. In the absence of a cuddle buddy, you will find me nestled up in my perfect spot in the cat tree. That’s also where you might find me when you decide to clean the carpet with that loud and scary device! Nobody likes that thing, do they?
One other thing to share with you is that I have FeLV, which is a virus that affects my immune system. This means that I need to live in a home without other cats (because it is transferable to other cat friends) but I can happily live with dog friends and human friends as neither are able to contact FeLV. This virus will also affect my overall lifespan (I could be happy and healthy for multiple months or for many years but that is not something any vet can predict). Therefore, I am looking for a forever family who can understand and support my disease and love me unconditionally for as long as the virus allows me to. I can assure you that I will give you so much love and companionship during that time, and I appreciate you considering adopting a cat like me with special health needs!
So, can we agree that I’m just about the perfect kitty companion? If you’re nodding your head, you’ll need to go to the PawsCo website and fill out an adoption application. That’s where you can take the first step in making it official. You can also email my PawsCo friends at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org and tell them you’re interested in me! I can’t wait to become a part of your family!
