MAY BE PART ORIENTAL SHORTHAIR!!!
UPDATE: AUG 27, 2016:
Maddie has weaned her kittens and has been spayed. She is a slender, very short-haired, dilute tortoiseshell. Maddie would love to be in a home with children who want to play with a cat. It is incredibly amusing to watch her play with a toy mouse. She is loving, athletic, and endlessly entertaining. Maddie may be an adult cat, but, in her heart, she is just a playful kitten who has never grown up!
JULY 11, 2016:
Maddie is a female, year old, DSH dilute tortoiseshell and is also the proud mother of Marco #18455, Mark #18454 and Mellow Yellow #18543.
Maddie will be returning to the shelter on Saturday, July 11th. Her three kittens will stay in foster care with Gay Besson.
She's a beautiful girl - looks like she might be part Oriental Shorthair. She LOVES to be petted, and will come over to see you if you "tsk" at her....and will get into your lap if she thinks there will be petting :) However, as stated earlier, she doesn't care to be picked up. She will quickly bond with you if you give her wet food (which she LOVES), and has perfect indoor kitty manners....she uses the litterbox faithfully (although a high sided one is probably best, as she very enthusiastically covers up her "business") and always uses the scratching post. I have no idea how she does with other kitties, since I don't like our kitties getting near a mom cat with her kittens!
NOTE: All animals are spayed/neutered as soon as practical after arriving at our facility unless there is a medical issue that may cause a delay or they are too young to be spayed/neutered.
