Maggie is a loving pit mix that was rescued from the euthanasia list at PACC. She is about 10 years old and is suffering from diabetes and dry eye, both of which had clearly gone untreated for some time. Her foster family has been amazing in helping Maggie decompress from shelter life and recover from her medical issues. She was significantly underweight, her fur was matted, and her ears were incredibly unclean and infected. She is doing much better now, and although she isn’t too energetic she does enjoy short walks around the yard in her foster home. Maggie is hard of hearing but very smart; she responds to signals and will come with a wagging tail if she sees you pat your legs. Maggie is very affectionate and loves to sit between your legs and be petted. Maggie will need to be on diabetes medication for the rest of her life.
