Meet Mallomar, a happy, playful bundle of energy who hasn’t met a person he didn’t love. Mallomar is up to date on all his shots, micro-chipped, housebroken, crate-trained and can sit, lie down, stay and (sometimes) roll over on command. Mallomar loves belly rubs more than anything else—except for meeting new people. . Mallomar also loves to play tug-of-war and chases balls (and is now learning that if he brings the balls back, he gets a better and faster chance at chasing the ball again). He also has an adorable way of tilting his head and raising his eyebrows and giving you a questioning look when he is curious or wondering what you are saying. He would likely thrive in a household, with active family. Mallomar does get protective with his food, so he will need a family who is willing to work with him on food guarding and would likely do better as an only dog because of this tendency. He gets along fine with other dogs, but likes to rough house a bit so might be overwhelming for a doggie who doesn't match his energy levels ..

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery, rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention, monthly flea/tick prevention, and our transport costs.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
