MARLENE UPDATE 9/21/16!!
First we would like to put out a REQUEST for Purina dry puppy food and can food for Marlene and another very thin hound (Callily). If you are able to donate it would be greatly appreciated! Food can be dropped off at the Bedford County Animal Shelter. As always thank you everyone for your support!
Marlene went to Riverside Veterinary Hospital for a complete check up. She is reasonably healthy for a 10 year old emaciated dog. A wonderful FOBCAS volunteer has offered to give Marlene a temporary place to stay until we can find a home or rescue for her. Thank you, Lisa! The plan is to give her a little time to finish her meds and gain some weight. We then want to have a tumor on her hip removed and a spay.
Marlene Update! 9/20/16
Marlene is headed to Riverside Veterinary Hospital today to get a check up and some blood work to make sure she is healthy other than obviously coming in emaciated. FOBCAS is able to take her on this visit because of your support, so thank you. She has been eating well and spending time with another dog, and doing very well. Her spirits are high and she seems to be feeling better. We will update everyone soon. She is available for adoption today. Hopefully someone out there will open up their heart and home to Marlene. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are potentially becoming Marlene's person.
She is currently in a foster home with FOBCAS ,
