Max is a gorgeous 7 year old beagle/yellow lab mix. He weighs about 30-35#. He lived in one home most of his life, but his mom had to move into an apartment and thought he wasn't so happy there. Before having a great life with mom, she rescued him from a shelter where the staff said he was previously abused by a man. Because of that, he has a tendency to be frightened of men, but that quickly fades when he realizes that they love him!
After coming to B&B, he was adopted by a family who adored him. They tell us his main fault was being destructive inside the house when left alone- though he did fine when left out in the yard. But overall he was a good boy and was great with their kids. Circumstances outside of their control sadly forced them to give him up.
Hopefully Max will find his forever home. He is an affectionate, obedient boy. He practically jumps up and down when he sees his favorite people and looks so happy. He loves his playtime in the exercise yard and does very well with the other dogs. There used to be a senior beagle here who he really bonded with.
Max is leash trained & housetrained. He probably prefers his kiddos to be 5 years and older. Not good with cats.
