Maxine is a spunky little girl with a lot of personality. She loves to play the game follow the leader… you being the leader. Maxine will follow you around anywhere. Her spunky personality may fool you because her eyes tell you a different story. She is very soulful and has hard a past. Coming to Priceless Pets from the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter, she was considered the volunteer favorite. She was originally surrendered to the San Bernardino Animal Shelter. She was so badly scabbed up (you can see from the scar on her side that her wounds will always remain). She was surrendered due to her medical issues.
Fast forward to Maxine’s arrival as a Priceless Pets. Maxine was immediately placed in foster care so we could figure out what her medical issues were (she frequently piddles when she gets excited) See Maxine is a thirsty girl and likes to drink a lot of water and as we all know what goes in must come out at some point. Maxine is potty trained but she does have issues holding her urine. We suggest controlling her intake of water and letting out to the restroom as soon as possible. The vets say that a dog her size shouldn’t be as thirsty as she is, so Priceless Pets had a bunch of different test to come to find out she is just thirsty. Maxine has been tested for Addison Disease, Cushing’s, and has had her blood tested too. As far as the test report she is a OK.
So now, Maxine, who is a volunteer favorite is looking for someone with patience to provide her with her forever home. Give her a chance to steal your heart with her loving personality and sweet soulful eyes!
PS: She is pocket size - so yes, she will fit in your favorite handbag!
