Maxwell may be hiding from view when you come to the shelter. With a little coaxing and reassurance, Maxwell will be delighted to visit with you. He is so delighted, he will begin to droll and stick his tongue out at you. He will purr the entire time and will stay close by your side. Maxwell enjoyed getting brushed and has been enjoying his regular meals. He is looking forward to gaining some of the weight he lost from fending for himself. Maxwell arrived to the shelter with a flea infestation, and has lost some patches of fur from constant itching. We have since treated him with flea medication, so his fur should grow back in time.
