11/1/14 - Maya continues to do well in her foster home. She enjoys spending time with Yankee, it would be fantastic if they could be adopted together. Maya does not do well with female dogs.
8/10/13 - Maya is not pregnant and was spayed on August 2nd. She is healing nicely and so far has had no aftereffects from the spaying. It takes Maya a little time to get used to new people. She is a sweet affectionate dog that needs to be an only dog because she doesn't want to share with anyone. Definately no cats. As long as you get her on a schedule she is trained to go outside. She is currently in a fenced in yard and loves the freedom of the back yard. Sometimes I have to sit on the floor and let her come to me in order to leash her to get her outside. It took her a few months to acclimate herself to the household.
A friend of mine took some photographs of Maya and Yankee today. I just received this link and hope that people can get to it:
Enjoy the photos.
