Mercury (aka Max) was adopted from Heartland as a kitten. He was very loved in his home and was reluctantly returned due to a family illness. Born in 2009, Mercury is a handsome longhair orange and white cat who lost one of his eyes to an infection when he was young. He sees well out of his remaining eye. Mercury's former mom told us that he is a playful, silly and affectionate boy who will stand on his back legs and reach up to you for love. He enjoyed hanging out with his humans and being part of a loving family. Mercury's favorite activities include watching the wildlife outside and catching some sun rays. Mercury will do best in a quiet home without young children. Like all longhair cats, Mercury needs to be groomed regularly, and occasionally needs help maintaining his beautiful mane. He is very good about getting his nails trimmed. Mercury's former mom said he is a wonderful cat and she wants nothing more than for him to find the purrfect home. Mercury needs to be an only pet.
