Mika needs a home where her people are with her. She will not do well if both are gone all day as she wants that companionship. It will take her a few days to warm to her new people and surroundings. She travels well in a car and like going for rides
Mika was surrendered to rescue, because her owners were at a hectic time in their lives and Mika wasn't getting much attention so would keep escaping her yard seeking attention elsewhere. Finally animal control gave the family an ulimatum to surrender her to rescue or the shelter would keep her.
She apparently is frightened of people, which would be understandable if people are chasing her to catch her. She is good with kids, don't know about cats.
