Miles is a handsome and very regal looking Tuxedo boy who longs to have a forever home of his own where he will be loved and cherished. He was adopted out several years ago when he was just a kitten to what we had hoped would be his forever family. Recently, we received a call from Animal Control that they had picked him up as a stray. When contact was made with his adopter, she advised that he had been missing for almost 2 years, yet she never contacted us to let us know he was gone or made attempts to find him. She did not want him back but that was fine with us as he deserves to be with someone who will love and care for him, just as every pet should be treated. Because Miles had been living outside for quite some time (we assume someone had been feeding him), he lost some weight and developed anemia from fleas. We promptly treated him for that and dewormed him and we are happy to report that he has gained some weight and is now fully recovered. Since he is a bit older, we also ran a blood panel just to make sure that he's in good shape and healthy otherwise, and everything looks great! Miles is such a sweet and mellow boy and is perfectly content just to lay next to you and chill out. He would make the perfect companion for an older person or someone who is gone during the day as he's very low maintenance and is just fine being alone for periods of time. He enjoys petting and brushing and especially loves a good back scratch. He's not too keen on canned food but eats his dry kibble like a champ. He gets along fine with other kitties once properly introduced and tends to snuggle with or ignore them, but if they get too rambunctious and want to play with him, he may swat at them. However, he's very submissive and would not do well with a dominant cat as he can be easily bullied. Miles is neutered, front-declawed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations; DOB 3/22/08, tag # 5223.
