A volunteer writes: Lovely Mimi, 7 years young with a lovely grey snout to match, was timid when she first came to the care center but is quickly learning the routine and warming up to staff and volunteers. She''s also learning to be around other dogs as she never was at her previous home-- at the moment she does okay in playgroup but doesn''t take any horsing around from other dogs (I wouldn''t either if I were an older lady like her-- who has the patience for that anymore? :). Mimi is housetrained, knows how to to sit for treats, lived in a home with children, and loves to give kisses. According to her previous owner, who gave her up because of housing issues (no fault of Mimi''s), Mimi loves to play tug of war and with squeaky toys. Mimi would do great with an adopter or family that has experience with older, sometimes grumpy dogs, and can be patient with her timidness.
