Fostered in Spokane, WA
Hello, my name is Mischief ! I am a 3 month old female Chihuahua mix. Who knows where my story began, and I only care to remember the good days anyway, so I’m calling my arrival at Power of the Paw chapter one. My foster mom said she took one look at my photo and said “oh no, she’s mischief in the making” and it stuck.
I like to spend my day the way any puppy would, annoying my fursiblings, stealing their toys, and rough housing with them. Now I’ve heard some puppies get scared and stop when a fur sibling gives you a warning growl about stealing their toy, not me! I have more than enough confidence to take what I need from any foe, and weighing in at roughly a can of soda, I would probably benefit from eating a nice big slice of humble pie so that I don’t end up getting myself into trouble.
I’m starting to be able to pick out my name from other words, probably because my foster mom says it…. a lot. I really love a good biscuit and when I get in the zone, a sample of finger with my treat is like a cherry on my sundae, but my foster mama wants to keep her hands intact, so my only choice is to take my cookies with a soft mouth or not at all. I almost always have my hiking pack on my back, equipped with ropes, carabiners, and ice picks. Baby gates and fences cannot hold me back, so until I take up some new hobbies, I need some supervision or I will be on to even bigger and badder mountains.
I am still just a baby so I haven’t tried out a leash, and I’m not the kind of girl who can be held back by a strip of nylon, so I have some learning to do, but I know I’ll pick it up fast. I am working on sit and am doing pretty good if I do say so myself. . . ok, ok, I just see all the other dogs sit and they get a treat so that’s what I do too, but I’m working on it.
I would prefer to sleep out in a dog bed or in your bed, but I am crate trained. I do whine for a few minutes to tell you how sad I am about this and try to sucker you into letting me play a little longer or get in the big bed to sprawl out.
I do have occasional accidents in the house, but I’m learning pretty fast. And because I love other dogs I have no problem sharing their food and dishes. I can promise you that life with me will never be dull and all I really need is a family to love me to pieces. If you have kids or other furbabies, that’s awesome. If not, that’s okay too. I’m just a pint sized ball of joy with a spritz of Mischief tossed in. If I sound like the girl for you, apply today athttp://powerofthepaw.org/adopt/dog-adoption-application/.
