Hi, my name is Mocha and I am about 7 years old. I was adopted in 2010 and returned by my adopters in May 2016. My adopters returned me because they both have significant health issues and are relocating to a location where I can't go. I am a quiet, easy going cat and don't require a lot of maintenance according to my family. I lived with another cat and 2 dogs. I got along with the cat but I did not interact with the dogs. There were children in my home sometimes and I just ignored them. I am not big on being held or petted. Sometimes I'm in the mood when I will sit next to you and want to be petted. Of course it's on my terms. I usually sat by the female of the house to watch TV. In 2014 I was diagnosed with Entropion. Entropion is the inversion of part or all of the eyelid. In my case it involves the lower eyelids. My eyelashes and hair of the eyelids irritate the cornea causing the signs of entropion. The signs are increased tear production and a discharge from my eyes. The only possible cure for entropion is surgery. The veterinarian has not recommended surgery because it is very difficult to judge how much skin needs to be removed. The surgery can create more problems than it corrects. I am available for immediate adoption. I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and microchipped. My adoption fee is by donation.
