MAR 15, 2012: Updated info on Myst from her foster mom...For more information please contact Angel at 434 981-3151 or email:
Myst has been tested this week @ Lovingston Vet and came back negative. She has been updated on her RCP and Rabies shots.
Myst is a complex slightly "crazy" little kitty. She is affectionate on her terms and usually at the strangest times. She has a habit of sneaking up on you while you are watching TV or reading and bam there is her face pressed against your face. She has a fixation with hair and will have "loving fits" where she will get on the back of the sofa and start rubbing and rolling against your head (can get a little out of hand with her affections at times.) She also likes to sneak into the bathroom and watch you (more than a little creepy at times).
My daughter and I adore this kitty and all her little quirks and would keep her ourselves but she DOES NOT like and torments my siamese cat Fiona that I adopted from Almost Home 2+ years ago. Myst can be a little tempermental with other kitties at times. I think a lot of it is jealousy. She does not like sharing human attention. I think she would do best in a household with no young children, as she can get a little rough with her affections. She will definitely need to be adopted by a patient and cat knowledable person.
Myst is a very sweet quirky little lady. I can't imagine our household without her but at the same time I can not have Myst tormenting my Fiona either. She will be sorely missed and whomever adopts her I hope will be tolerant of my daughter and I keeping in contact with and checking on Myst aka Rabbit from time to time. She has been a part of our lives for 18 months and we are saddened to let her move on… =(
DEC 1, 2011:
I’m Myst’s foster mom. Myst came to me as a feral kitty with 3 day old babies in September 2010. Her babies Faline and Demetri were adopted out thru Almost Home, but it has taken us this long to get "Myst" to open up and come out of her shell. She has made a complete turn around and has gone from being a "scary/mean" and unpredictable kitty to a real sweetheart. She is a very silly playful cat who ADORES toys of any kind. She is VERY kittenish when she plays.
For the first 9 months I have had her she stayed in a cage and WOULD NOT come out. For the past month and a half she has decided that my house is her house. She is everywhere and into everything. Her favorite spot is draped all over my sofa, usually in the spot I sit in. She is learning that laps are a good place to be as well. She plays with my cats and my foster kittens now but still hasn’t reached the comfort level of being able to eat wet food with them yet. I feel that will come in time.
She has a crush on my big boy Dobert (the cat who hates my other foster Imani, but doesn’t have a problem with Myst…go figure). Myst is a very pretty little cat. She is a very short compact, cobby built cat with tiny feet and nose, huge eyes and an endearing squawky voice. She is an endearing and entertaining little cat, and I think she will NOW make someone a wonderful pet.
As you can see from the pictures, she is a real cutie…a solid striking white with the mismatched eyes. For awhile I thought she may be hearing impaired on the blue eyed side, but I am not certain of this. I thought it may have contributed to her being unpredictable, but now she is a much better behaved and a more predictable kitty. She has been spayed and inoculated thru a Voices clinic and would still need testing done at Almost Home as well as a booster RCP shot.
