"Upper Peninsula Animal Wefare Shelter"
(formerly Marquette County Humane Society)
Nikita is a very sweet and loving girl, about 45 pounds. She's good wit people of all ages. She gets along with most other dogs (a meeting with other dogs in your family would be required). She is very high energy and needs a home that is going to be extremely active. She would make a great dog for agility, dogsledding, bikejoring, or other various activities. Nikita is extremely intellegent and can get bored easily, so she needs things to do in order to keep her occupied. Another dog as a companion, and/or kids/active adults would be best for her. She knows a few tricks already like sit and stay, and has been and active sled dog for the past few months. She is very obedient and responsive. She loves the company of people the most. She would not be suitable with cats or other small animals as she does have a prey drive at times, small dogs seem to be ok but a meeting would still be required. Looking for the perfect home which is willing to give her time and attention and exercise that she needs. She is microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations, been wormed, and has received all necessary vet care from local vet, Tim Hunt.
