Meet Niko! This gorgeous boy is sweet and loving. He has lots of happy energy and he is ready to go on adventures with you! Niko would do well with a family who can keep up with his happy-go-lucky attitude and give him plenty of playtime and exercise. Niko is enjoying the love and attention he is receiving in his foster home, and he is a sweet boy who enjoys hanging out with his people. Niko loves his blue squeaky ball and is very playful. He is an easy-going boy with the smaller resident dog, and they get along great. Niko is not always sure how to start off playing with other dogs and is sometimes a bit rough, so he would do better not going to a dog park until he learns how to properly meet and initiate play. Niko is friendly with all sized humans - kids and adults alike! This beauty knows some of his basic commands, and he is working on his leash skills in his foster home where he will be a pro in no time with a little consistent training. Niko enjoys going for runs and hiking with his people. He will sleep in his crate at night, but can be left home alone uncrated without getting into anything. Niko is treat-motivated and that always helps with training. This sweetheart is house trained and uses a doggy door. He is also crate trained and will go in on command. Niko would be a great companion for an active family. Niko was tested with a non-reactive cat at an adoption event and while he was interested he was not aggressive. He may be able to live with cats in the home with proper introductions and supervision. Think you might be the one who could be Niko's forever family? Fill out an adoption application online to get started.
The adoption includes the altering of the dog, current vaccinations, and microchipping.
