Greetings and Salutations! One of the best things about dogs is that we don’t harbor grudges or take things too personally. I think that my difficult past life will only lead to bigger and better things—a forever home with lots of love, cuddling, predictability, and treats! My outgoing personality came out after being rescued by a kind man with a 95 lb. Boxer and 25 lb. Dachshund mix. At first, I was shy and took time to explore my new home. Fast forward two days later and I am eating twice a day, playing with both dogs, and deciding which toy to play with (or steal!) Even though I’ve been in my foster home for less than a week, I am a sweetie with the prettiest gray eyes! Besides chasing my foster sister around the house, I love head and body rubs, sweet talk, and of course, food! I am quickly learning basic commands and stay close to my foster dad when outside. I promise to try my best at whatever you teach me—a treat and some kind words will go a long way with me! The doctor said I am a young boy (approximately 1-year old) and need to put some meat on my 25-pound body. I look like a lab/terrier mix, but I consider myself multiethnic! I love to play and have fun with school-age children, adults and other dogs. I mostly go potty outside but have occasional accidents when I get so caught up playing with my foster brother and sister. I want to please and do the right thing—I just need a furever home, guidance and a chance to show you what a great dog I am!
Norman is a Male lab/terrier mix approx 1 year old and currently weighs 25 lbs.
PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application on our website http://www.k-9angelsrescue.org/adoption_process_k-9_angels_rescue.html. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered.
OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. However, we only adopt young puppies locally, due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted and altered.
SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one’s pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready.
NOTE: All dogs are officially the property of K-9 Angels Rescue until they are altered by our veterinarian.
