Super Nova...Explosion of Puppy Fun!!!!

***Come meet Nova and other, great adoptable dogs this Sun. (Oct. 16) from 12 – 2 PM at the Petco in Georgetown (12960 Middlebrook Rd., Germantown, MD 20874)***
Approximate Age: 4.5 MONTHS SEX: MALE
Approximate Weight: 15 LBS.
Has Lived With: Other Dogs
Currently Living at: DC foster!
Special adoption considerations: young puppy, frequent potty breaks and socialization needed, commitment to neuter by 6 months, additional vaccines required.
Hello humans! My name is Nova and I am ready to come to DC to find my furever homes!
I love to play with other dogs and have lots of puppy wrestle sessions! I want to spend these fall days rompin' around the yard smellin' the pretty flowers and soon hoping in piles of colorful leaves. Maybe we could even go swimming...I would sure love to try to learn how to doggy paddle! They tell me dogs are usually good at that sport! My dream would be long walks, doggy parks, peanut butter kongs and a warm bed to call all mine. The shelter says " Nova is super cute. He seems a bit hesitant at first but becomes playful quickly. He loves toys."
Since I am so young, I am a blank slate ready to be trained and molded into your perfect pup! I will probably be good with kids and cats since I am just a puppy but I have never lived with them officially so if you have a feline friend my lucky dog friends can test me out!
I'm just a little guy so I'll need lot's of looking after. I'm sorry to say that if you work 9-5 away from home you aren't a good fit for me unless you can show documentation of a multiple times a day dog walker.
So what in the name of milkbones are you waiting for....fill out the application and send it to my adoption coordinator! I am trying to wait patiently...wiggle...wiggle...wiggle!
Foster Update:
Nova loves to cuddle. He is good with kids and our dogs. Such a sweet, sweet puppy. Nova does well in his crate and is currently sleeping through the night peacefully! He loves fetch and will bring the ball back and he always leaves it right outside our door so its ready when we go out. He knows right where it is!
Nova is not old enough to have had all of his vaccines. It will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, he is at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.
Due to a puppy's need for attention and frequent bathroom excursions, we do not adopt dogs under 5 months of age to homes where no one is home during the day. This means no 9-5ers, unless you commit to hiring a dog walker to come multiple times a day.
Like most puppies, Nova will need to work on his housetraining. He will also need to go to obedience school so he can grow into a well-socialized dog!
The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Ali at!
