Happy dog seeking happy people to spend a happy life together forever.
Ollie is one of those dogs that you can't help but smile every time you see him. He's a contradiction in motion. He has a petite pitty head and coloring but he has a low rider basset hound body. When he sneezes he's so low to the ground he often bumps his little head. Ollie doesn't mind if you laugh, he loves to laugh too! This boy is excited about life and living. He's happy to play with his people, he's SUPER happy to snuggle with them after a nice walk around town and he's happy to doze in his crate if your lap isn't available.
Ollie spends much of his time finding ways to make his family smile. He's learned that going potty outside makes his people smile so he's careful to never potty inside. He's learned that sit and down make his people smile so he is quick to sit or lay down as soon as he's asked. He's also really learning 'stay' because that makes everyone REALLY smile! Ollie is an eager to please little boy and we're so glad that we saved him from a desperate situation. Ollie was found on the side of the road in the high 90s heat of summer in a crate with the door locked. He couldn't escape to find water and cars were rushing by him on the road, terrifying him. The bottoms of his feet were badly burned and he had open wounds all over his head and body. A good samaritan stepped in and let this little guy out of his crate and brought him to a vet for much needed medical care. If he'd been left for several more hours on the road he would have died and we're so glad he was saved because the world is a brighter place with Ollie's smile in it!
We are amazed that despite being abandoned in his crate on the road Ollie shows no fear of being confined there at home when his family is away. He's content to be there because he knows his foster family will be back for him. We estimate Ollie to be between 2 and 3 years old so he's still full of wonderful puppy energy but he's old enough now to be past much of that annoying chewing and accident behavior. Ollie is waiting for someone special to bring him home, is that special person you?
