The name Ori means 'my light' in Hebrew and in no time, Ori will be the light of your life! Born in 2009, he is a red, Hound/Labrador Retriever mix that weighs 65 pounds. He has come to New Leash on Life looking for his first inside home. Ori is a sweet, somewhat shy guy who is getting used to his new surroundings and learning that hanging out with humans is a good thing. He has gotten used to walking on a leash and going in & out of doors, and it has been wonderful to see him figure out what toys are and watch him carry them around. Ori is neutered, micro-chipped and current on vaccinations. He did test positive for heartworms and has already finished his treatment thanks to our Angel Fund. He is on his way to recovery. With an approved application he can go home with limited activity till October 22nd. You can then adopt this gentle giant for $40 thanks to a partnership with Best Friends. **All New Leash on Life dogs must be adopted to families willing to have their pets allowed inside-especially at night. No dog is allowed to be put on a "tie-out" or chain outside and should be walked on a leash when not in a fenced yard.** (D16-105)
