Oscar is desperately in need of help. He has been with his foster family for over a year and made little progress in his socialization. He is good natured, quiet and well behaved, but he hates to be touched by people. His problem is he is terrified of men. Unfortunately his foster mom travels for business leaving his foster dad to be the primary caregiver. On the rare occasion his foster dad travels he makes good progress with his foster mom (and lots of doggie treats) but reverts back as soon as his foster dad returns. He would benefit tremendously with a female only household.
He loves other dogs and cats and has shown interest in children. He is not destructive and if he thinks no one is watching he likes to play with toys.
He was seriously abused and is beyond what his current foster home can do to help him. Oscar desperately needs a loving home or foster home with lots of patience, doggie treats and minimal interaction with men to make him feel safe and secure.
Oscar weighs 11-12 pounds and is 3-5 years old. He uses the doggie door, but is not kennel or house trained. He is puppy pad trained and will use one if one is available.
