Meet the very special, Mr. Otis. Otis was saved from a high kill shelter in GA on his euthanize date. Otis is such a character. His foster mom adores the way his little ears bounce as he trots around the backyard! He has only been with us for a week now and is improving by leaps and bounds. We fondly call him Mr. Grumbles as this is his way of "talking". When he first arrived he was quite unsure of everything, but who can blame him! Otis arrived VERY thin, covered in flea dirt, little to no muscle, and has cataracts so his close vision is not the best. Who can blame him for not trusting! He is fine with all of our dogs but grumbles when someone bumps into him. He is also fine with our resident cat (actually the cat bosses him around, but don't tell him I told you) Otis is quite happy to have steady food and a bed to sleep on. He is becoming more trusting every day and now follows us around. He loves it when you pet his ears and also loves a good scratch on the bum! Otis is estimated to be 8 years young, a Terrier mix, neutered, house trained and up to date on vaccines. Sadly he is heartworm positive but TLR will see him through treatment. He will most likely top out around 30 or 35 lbs. Otis would like a quiet home, with or without other easy going animals. Due to his vision he would do best with no young children. Otis stole our hearts quickly, we promised him his forever home is out there for him! Otis is being fostered in NJ and an approved adopter should be willing to travel to him.
