Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday, October 22nd from 1-4pm and Sunday, October 23rd from 12-3pm. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue
This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, October 22nd from 1-4pm and Sunday, October 23rd from 12-3pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.
Parachute is a 3 year old Corgi-Shiba mix (with some extra spices thrown in ;) who we rescued off the meat trucks of Korea. He weighs 22.2 lbs. Parachute will quickly float into your heart! He is an amazing pup with a playful personality. Parachute bonded quickly to his foster brother and sister and was able to coax them to play shortly after meeting them. He learned the game of fetch but his most favorite game is "keep away" with either the dogs or humans in the household! After playtime, all he wants to do is cuddle right next to his foster mom and sleep completely stretched out; which is the most adorable thing and will definitely bring a smile to your face. Parachute also lived with a cat at his foster home and did quite well with the cat. He was curious but knew to keep a little bit of distance. He is also very friendly to strangers and is quick to run up for pets and kisses. Parachute has a wonderful personality, quiet, playful and a cuddly dog and will be a great addition to a family.
Parachute is crate trained, though he would much rather sleep in the bed cuddled up next to you! He is an option for a first-time dog owning family who has done their research and is ready to bring a canine member into their family. He is an option for a home with children over the age of 7.
**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)
**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
Very adorable! i really wish to adopt!
