Peg Leg Pete, aka Pete the Cat, came into the center after his owner developed physical issues and could no longer care for him. Pete is a wonderful senior that was born in September 2004 and weighs a healthy 9 pounds.
Pete is a rumpy Manx (meaning he has no tail whatsoever) and is super special! He was born with his "peg" leg which has no movable knee joint, so he walks with a stiff leg and swings his hip out wide when he takes a step. It is absolutely unique and adorable! He gets around just fine and can even jump up on the furniture:) He props his leg on the edge of the litter box when he is going to the bathroom and his leg hovers in the air a bit when he sits or lays just because of its shape. It is so cute and he is such a sweet and loving boy. Come by to see Pete in action and you will see why he is so special!
The adoption fee is $50 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, FELV/FIV test, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, and spay or neuter.
