Penelope is a 6-7 year old Buff and White Cocker Spaniel with a docked tail. Her owners were cited for not having a dog license. The family had hit hard times and the fees were just too much, so they relinquished her to the animal shelter.
Penelope has been a joy to foster. She is house trained. Knows how to use a doggy door and has mastered going up and down the stairs in her foster home, despite not being able to see. She loves walks on the leash and riding in the car. She is a very kind and confident dog.
She is currently is living with other Cocker Spaniels and cats. She does fine, but enjoys being the pack leader.
Penelope is crate trained and sleeps in her crate next to her foster mom's bed at night. Her coat is currently cut short, but it will continue to grow and will need regular grooming appointments to keep her tidy.
We have not had her around children, but feel that dog experienced kids of at least 10 years old should be fine.
